Glynis Marshall

Glynis Marshall

Glynis Marshall and her husband Gordon Marshall discuss the service of John Marshall, Gordon’s father, in World War 2. John Marshall worked at the airfield in Broome during the war, assisting with planes. He didn’t talk about his experiences very much, but Gordon is pleased to have a new headstone on his father’s grave that recognises his father’s service. Glynis and Gordon and also discuss their feelings on service in the defence forces now, and explain that their great-nephew is currently serving in the army. This recording was made by John Marshall’s grave in Derby.
