During NAIDOC week we visited Cherbourg and did some video history recording at the fantastic Ration Shed Museum. Eric Law spoke to us about his service in Vietnam, and his father’s service during World War 1. Family, home, and education are strong recurrent themes as Eric relates stories about his family and community, and of his homecoming from Vietnam, the support of various organisations, and his participation at events such as ANZAC Day and NAIDOC Week. We also had discussions with community members with knowledge of the impressive history of service by Cherbourg people, which is also prominently and proudly recorded at their Anzac Park memorial.

Earlier in the week in Brisbane we saw an amazing private collection of material about pilot Len Waters, and interviewed Vietnam veterans and family members.
