John Scrutton discusses his experiences in the Air Force as an Air-Frame Fitter over the course of nearly 20 years, including service in Malaysia during the Vietnam War. John explains what led him to enlist in the Air Force, his experiences in training, working and travelling around Australia as well as the intense bullying and racism that he experienced during his time in the forces. John also discusses his post-service life, and how he has tried to come to terms with some of the issues, including PTSD and depression, that arose following his service.
