John Edwards tells a story in this very brief interview about his friend John Sanders, a returned World War 2 veteran, who spoke about an Aboriginal soldier from Esperance who dragged him from No-Man’s Land when he was badly wounded fighting the Japanese. John does not know this man’s name or any other details, only that he was from Esperance.
