Shane Anderson & Bradley Whip's interview in Darwin
Shane Anderson and Bradley Whip both participated in NORFORCE’s Army Indigenous Development Program (AIDP), which is designed to prepare young indigenous people for enlistment in the defence forces. When this interview took place, Shane and Bradley were very close to completing the five month long AIDP, and they speak about their experience of the program, as well as their aspirations for enlisting in the Army. Both Shane and Brad have had very positive experiences in the AIDP and look forward to joining the regular Army.
This interview took place on 12 August 2016 in Darwin and was conducted by Dr Noah Riseman with Craig Greene as part of the Australian Research Council-funded research project Serving our Country: a history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the defence of Australia.
