Samantha Nicholson & Alice Nona's interview in Darwin

Samantha Nicholson and Alice Nona both come from Cairns and have family connections to the Torres Strait. They talk about their experiences after five months of training in Darwin for the defence forces. They speak about how their training has given them confidence and talk about some of their aspirations for their futures in the armed services.

This interview took place on 12 August 2016 in Darwin and was conducted by Dr Allison Cadzow and Ms Siobhan McDonnell as part of the Australian Research Council-funded research project Serving our Country: a history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the defence of Australia.
