Kathryn Jarrett

Kathryn Jarrett

Kathryn Jarrett discusses her father Arthur George Jarrett’s service and its effects on her and her family’s life. Arthur George Jarrett served in World War 2 in New Guinea, and Kathryn talks about how violent her upbringing with her father was and the ongoing effects this has had on her life. She still loved her dad dearly, and had only later in life realized how unusual her childhood was. Arthur only discovered he was an indigenous man later in life, and Kathryn has been researching and examining how this impacts upon her identity.
